Qatar’s Tamim wins bronze at Agadir Optimist Regatta

Rabat: Rising Qatari sailor Tamim Khalid won a bronze medal at the Agadir International Optimist Regatta in Morocco, competing against 62 sailors from 13 countries. Tamim showed skill and composure throughout the event, marking a proud achievement for Qatar’s national sailing team.

Qatar Sailing Federation President Rashid Majid Al-Sulaiti praised Tamim’s performance and the team’s overall effort, expressing confidence in their future success. He also thanked the Qatar Olympic Committee for its ongoing support.

Secretary-General Ali Nasser Talafat highlighted the progress of Tamim and Khalifa Al-Yafei, praising their rapid development and maturity in competition.

With this medal, Team Qatar continues its journey toward international sailing excellence, supported by talented youth and strong institutional backing.
